Henna is a story of developing human relationships within the national boundaries and despite that, it is an international love story depicting universal and timeless emotions of love and sacrifice. Love is a many - splendoured world with sacrifice as the very centre of this universe.

Chander is a happy go lucky young man who refuses to be bound by any restrictions including that of time. Inspite of his best efforts, he is invariably late in his rendezvous with Chandni - his sweet heart. They love each other immensely and Chandni's parents give their consent for marriage. But the wheel of time moves in a strange way and Chander lands in the village of a neighbouring country where an old man - the sufi leader of the village and his innocent daughter - Henna, revive him back to lie from the brink of death. Chander's wounds are healed but he suffers from amnesia.

In the serene pastoral atmosphere, Henna's natural charm weaves a world of mystique love for Chander. Their pure love blossoms like an untouched flower in the lap of nature. There is always a thorn with a rose. Here the local police Chief, Shahbaaz Khan, has an evil eye on 'Henna'. He lusts for her.

The wheel of time moves and Chander regains his memory on the eve of his wedding with Henna. Its a supreme moment of Henna's sacrifice and the profound thoughts of her father than motivates the villagers to help Chander return to his country. Shahbaaz Khan arrests Chander and wishes to frame him as a spy. He demands that Henna marry him. Henna is prepared for such sacrifice.

Every human battle is first fought in the heart of a woman, then on earth.

What ensures is a high voltage drama of conflicts. Does time provide justice for the habitual late comer? Do Chander and Chandni reunite? Does love mean petty possession or sacrifice.

Henna provides a simple answer to all these complicated questions.

God created the Earth and Man made boundaries but the rainbow of love transcendents all barriers and boundaries.
